D= happyhappy
Copenhagen is apparently the happiest city to live in =)
(as in it has the highest amount of happy people)
Sometimes I am reminded of this "fake" world we live in, meaning North America, where we live recklessly and ignorantly, where we are the leaders and yet we are so corrupted. But I ignore it most of the time, like everyone else.
I only started caring after I had to write about the 1973 Oil Crisis, and because of all the research I had to do for it, like watching the video The Crude Awakening. Well, tonight I stumbled upon The Suzuki Diaries on CBC, an episode of this The Nature of Things series, where David Suzuki and his daughter travel around Europe looking at how they've put renewable energy to use. Copenhagen's bike-car ratio is 10 to 1, which is the opposite of what we have here in Canada's cities. And Seville has this crazy field of 624 mirrors collecting sunlight. There's this tower in the middle of the field collecting all the sunlight reflected off the mirrors. It manages to light up all the dust and water vapour in the air, making the whole place glow.
This
is not a lie. Although it does look like an illustration of some holy
building in the Bible, it's not. It's probably just the bad quality of
the picture. This thing is insane D= and it makes me really happy =)
Makes me want to live in Europe. Not because of this tower (which is blinding), but because it's just not as wasteful, self-obsorbed and obsessed as North America. And fat! Ugh.

6 school days left! omg. thats really soon.
i'm getting more and more depressed. hahaha...
hmmm what to blog about...
ok so today during 4th and 5th period, i went to the "Artefact" assembly, which is basically this type of performance thing for all Claude Watson ppl, but more specifically for the graduating classes of all the music, art, drama, screen arts and dance to perform something and "showcase what we have learnt in the past four years". WELL, the music majors (ME!) decided to play Star Wars with the intro thing running on the screen behind us... you know... "once upon a time in a galaxy far, far, away..." which my two friends Ailie and Chris made up. So it talked about the teachers and all sorts of things... a dunno a little story of us. It was weird because while playing, we didn't know what was going on on the screen whenever ppl laughed. But yeah it's pretty funny. I saw part of a video after.
The other majors were all good. Screen Arts did some kind of documentary. Visual arts did a stop-motion video, moving their paintings around... that was fun to watch... Dance majors did... a dance. But i think it was some kind of contemporary thing. It was really good. Not gentle/graceful or whatever, it was really really interesting. Drama majors did mini scenes of "the future of drama majors"... basically acting out situations in their future where they're all dramatic because they're... into drama. harhar. it was funny. UGh i'm so obsessed with double spacing after periods now. ANYWAY... am i missing someone? uhh...no. but oh. yeah so for our performance, we had ordered these black american apparel hoodies like LONGGG ago and they were supposed to be here like 3 weeks ago, and then it was confirmed that they would get here today at 11:30am. we were gonna wear them on stage and be like Yoda or something, hehehe... but nooooo that man, Lloyd, who we are only still dealing with because his daughter goes to our school, makes me so angry. ugh. he never calls, answers, lags, i dunno the list goes on. What kind of service is that? ugh. he couldnt get it to us today because the factory's "locked" or something. I dunno, some stupid excuse like that. We had one of the guys conduct with a lightsaber, but he was supposed to get a darth vader helmet, cuz he said he HAD one, but yeah dunno what happened there...
I'm kind of tired of soompi fanfics... or maybe i'm just tired of waiting for them to update! argh! i can't help it, it's like a disorder =S
